É de um sabor especial não somente por quebrar o jejum, mas por que a vitória é uma homenagem ao jovem jogador Nando Matola. Matola, jovem jogador da selecção nacional, de apenas 27 anos de idade, militava num clube na Africa do Sul, teve uma morte trágica vitima de um acidente de viação há sensivelmente uma semana. Matola, deslocava-se à Maputo com a família, esposa e dois filhos, que também pereceram no acidente para se juntar aos demais jogadores da equipe de todos.
